WORKSHOP THEME

We are excited to host a one day workshop on computation of spectrum, as part of the LMS research group on Computational Mathematics for Quantum Mechanics. There has been a lot of exciting advances in the last few years on computation of spectrum, in particular on theoretical limitations, methods with error control, generalisations of linear algebra algorithms to infinite dimensions, and rigorous numerical methods for non-self adjoint operators using interval arithmetic.  The aim of this workshop is to bring experts in these new advances together with researchers in pseudospectra and other areas of spectral computation to chart out a roadmap for future directions.
